Privacy policy
PedalBro is a guitar pedal index run by Likely Solutions, Inc. (“PedalBro”, “we”, “us”). You can use all of it without an account, and we collect as little as we can. This page covers the website (pedalbro.com) and the PedalBro MCP server for AI assistants (api.pedalbro.com/mcp).

When you browse
We use PostHog, through our own address (t.pedalbro.com), to count page views and see how the site is used: pages visited, clicks, the referring site, and general device and browser details. We don't build a profile of you unless you sign in.
A first-party cookie, pb_ch, remembers for 30 days which kind of site sent you to us (a search engine, a forum, an AI assistant). It holds that channel only, not an identifier.
When you click a buy link
Buy links go through pedalbro.com/go/ so we can count them. We record which pedal and seller, the page and channel you came from, and a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself). The seller and affiliate networks (such as Amazon Associates, Awin, eBay Partner Network, AvantLink and Impact) then set their own cookies under their own privacy policies, so they can credit the sale to us.
If you create an account
An account lets you save pedalboards. We store your email address, your name, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google, plus the boards you save. For each sign-in session we also store the IP address and browser it came from, for security.
Sign-in links are emailed through Resend. Google sign-in is handled by Google.
If you use PedalBro from an AI assistant
When an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT calls the PedalBro MCP server, we receive only the request it sends: the tool it called and that tool's inputs (for example a pedal search like “tube screamer” or a pedal's name). We never see your conversation.
For each request we log the tool, those inputs cut short, the assistant's name and version, a session id the assistant sends back to us, whether the request worked, and a one-way hash of the IP address it came from. Usually that is the assistant's server, not your own address. The MCP server needs no account and stores no personal data beyond this. Links in its answers are tagged so we can tell that a visit or a purchase came from an assistant.
What we use it for, and what we don't
We use this information to run and improve PedalBro, keep it secure, count affiliate referrals, and decide what to build next. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who processes it
Railway (hosting and database), Cloudflare (network, caching and storage), PostHog (analytics), Resend (sign-in emails) and Google (if you sign in with Google). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. Our servers are in the United States.
How long we keep it
Account details and saved boards are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Click and MCP request logs are kept for as long as they are useful for counting referrals and usage. They hold only hashed IP addresses. Database backups are kept for up to 12 months.
Your choices
You can browse with cookies blocked or with an ad or tracking blocker. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to close your account, email [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days.
